About

Steve & Anita are Foodies - wink, wink, nudge, nudge, say no more!

OK, we will say some more...

Our ratings:
  "Noms" = Good
     The more noms, the better -- they are rated 1 through 5
     5 being taste bud heaven

(see the bunny enjoying himself -- 1 Nom is good and we'll probably return)

  "Goats" = Bad
     The more goats, the worse -- they are rated 1 through 5
     As Roy would say, "I don't like goat's anything!"
     (see the Goat Farm above)

A restaurant can have both Noms & Goats in their rating -- for example if a restaurant has awesome food, but horrible service

About the bloggers

Steve
grew up in Cincinnati, Ohio, lived in California for nine years (Santa Cruz, San Jose, Orange County) and has resided in Raleigh, North Carolina for the past 10 plus years.  In his travels, he's had schnitzel in Deutschland, kimchi in Hanguk, and a chicken, rice and beans dish in Belize that was out of this world -- though he did not see any giant aliens.

Aside from food, he likes hockey (and going to games with his daughter) and Australian Rules Football, even played five years with the NC Tigers - Raleigh's amateur Australian Football team.  He enjoys camping with his son...  it's mainly an excuse to eat.

Anita was born in Santiago, Chile, and grew up in Northern California. She graduated from Mills College, in Oakland, CA with a degree in Economics. She worked for years in the computer industry for both manufacturers and distributors.  Is currently a Montessori teacher.

She spends as much time as she can with her children Niki and Alex and her husband Steve, who is old and moldy. Her guilty secret: she is a K-Pop music fan! She recently stepped down from being the chapter vice-president for the South Wake County Amateur Phrenologists Society. She volunteers for the annual Hooray for Sarcasm 1/64 Marathon. Anita volunteers at her church and through the Augustine Project, provides reading and tutoring for at-risk children in the area.

Y1.9K Compliance

SpatulaCity.net is Y1.9K Compliant and will not produce errors in date data related to the year change from December 31, 1899 to January 1, 1900. SpatulaCity.net is, to the best of our knowledge, Y1.9K Compliant. However, due to lack of government regulation, oversite, and funding, and of course, no fault of our own, SpatulaCity.net could not achieve Y2K Compliance. Sorry.
